"I find immense value in being surrounded and supported by successful women who share my passions. I believe that our potential for shaping the future with technology is limitless, and it's only our limiting beliefs that hold us back. This program gives me the opportunity to challenge those beliefs, find my own voice, and tap into my full potential."
"As a Product leader and advocate for women in tech, staying current and ahead of the curve is critical. So make time to invest in your growth, passions, and career, and have fun! I have always enjoyed working with Kara Howard; she leads intentionally and inclusively. Kara is a visionary and advocates for growing women's leadership and entrepreneurship in tech. In addition, she is known for building community and bringing a sense of belonging."
Kara Howard is the creator of the SI HER Program & The KI non-profit. She has created this program based on her experience as a growth marketer, community builder, and advocate for untapped communities. In her previous role as VP of Growth & Partnerships at Silicon Valley-based mobile martech firm CleverTap, the organization's leadership team gave her space and support to elevate her professional brand voice and she actively pursued thought leadership and public speaking opportunities. At the same time, she created speaking opportunities for other women and drove brand awareness and lead generation for the company. Her four year engagement at the company was a very positive experience where she felt valued by the company, and delivered value. She has now created SI HER to share in her experience and support others in their personal and professional growth journeys.
Kara has been a passionate supporter of women's initiatives for over ten years. She created the LA Chapter of the Vinetta Project, an organization that connected female entrepreneurs to female investors. Kara also volunteered with the She Runs It organization and placed hundreds of women in speaking opportunities at conferences. Kara's career began in Finance and she holds an MBA from NYU in Entrepreneurship & Marketing. Kara presently lives in between Los Angeles & Playa del Carmen, Mexico where she has developed her focus on creating a bridge between the US & LATAM.
